As per the post tweeted by ANI (Asian News international ), 59 Chinese applications like TikTok, Shareit, UC Browsers, Likee, etc. has been banned in India. ANI reported that all those apps which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, security of state and public order, has been banned by Indian Government. Recently, many of these apps are red-flagged by intelligence agencies as the user data are being collected and transfer outside the country.
As India is the 3rd largest countries having 1.3 Billions of Populations, is moving onto digital media preferences where many Chinese company have invested here in India and launched several apps like TikTok, UC Browsers. But now Indian Government has banned all the Chinese apps for concerning over the the data privacy.
As we all know that several permission is asked while we run the app at first time and at the same time we grant them permission to store our data into their server. While these apps also collect our data and store it, and it was found out to be transferred outside the country unethically.
Indian Government has taken this decision after the disputes arises between Indo-China Border, where our 20 Soldiers were martyred during killing our enemy, at Galwan Valley. Now the hosting for these apps has been banned in India. Government says that these applications are disallowed to use both in application platforms and through websites.
